Fire TV Setup

Configure StreamPilot Smart DNS on Firestick and Fire TV devices to access streaming content across regions with minimal setup.

Before You Begin

  • Active StreamPilot subscription
  • Your current IP registered in the StreamPilot app
  • Primary and secondary StreamPilot DNS addresses

Setup Steps

Open Fire TV Settings

From the Fire TV home screen, open Settings.

Go to Network

Select Network, then highlight your active Wi-Fi.

Forget and Reconnect

Press the menu button and choose Forget Network.

Reconnect to the same network and choose Advanced.

Enter Network Details

Enter your IP address and gateway as prompted, then set your custom DNS servers:

Use your StreamPilot DNS values:

Primary DNS: (from your dashboard)Secondary DNS: (from your dashboard)

Restart Fire TV

Restart your Fire TV device to ensure DNS settings are applied across streaming apps.

Troubleshooting Tips

If streaming apps still show the wrong region, force close the app and relaunch after a device restart.

If your ISP changes your public IP, update it in the StreamPilot app before testing again.
