How It Works

Streaming Freedom in 3 Steps

StreamPilot uses Smart DNS technology—a faster, simpler alternative to VPNs designed specifically for streaming. Here's how it works.

01

Sign Up & Download

Create your account and download the StreamPilot app for your device. Available on macOS, Windows, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Fire TV, and Chrome.

Takes less than 60 seconds. 7-day free trial, no card charged upfront.

02

Choose Your Services

Select which streaming services you want to unblock and which region to route each one through. Netflix US? BBC iPlayer UK? Set them all independently.

One-click presets available for popular combinations.

03

Stream Freely

That's it. Open your streaming apps as normal—they'll now show content from the regions you selected. No speed loss, no buffering, full 4K quality.

Works with all your existing streaming subscriptions.

The Technology Behind It

Smart DNS Routing

When you visit a streaming service, your DNS request is routed through our servers in the appropriate region. This tells the service you're in the "right" location. Your actual video traffic goes direct—never through us.

Why It's Faster Than VPN

VPNs route ALL your traffic through a remote server and encrypt it—adding latency and reducing bandwidth. Smart DNS only handles tiny DNS packets (under 1KB). Your actual streaming data takes the fastest path possible.

Multi-Region Simultaneously

Each streaming service gets its own DNS routing rule. You can access US Netflix, UK BBC iPlayer, and Australian Stan at the same time without switching anything. VPNs can only connect to one country at a time.

Universal Compatibility

Any device that uses DNS (all of them) can work with Smart DNS. This includes Smart TVs, gaming consoles, and streaming sticks that don't support VPN apps. Our native apps make setup even easier.

What You Need

An internet connection (any speed, any ISP)

An active subscription to the streaming services you want to watch

A StreamPilot account (free trial available)

Any device: computer, phone, tablet, TV, or streaming stick

Important: StreamPilot does not provide streaming subscriptions. You need your own Netflix, Disney+, etc. account. We simply let you access content libraries from other regions.

Common Questions

Is this legal?

Yes. Changing your DNS settings is perfectly legal. However, accessing content may violate some streaming services' terms of service. Most services simply restrict access rather than taking action against users.

Will streaming services detect it?

StreamPilot continuously rotates and updates its DNS infrastructure to stay ahead of detection. We monitor all supported services 24/7 and resolve any blocks within minutes.

Does it work with all internet providers?

Yes, Smart DNS works with any ISP worldwide. If you can browse the internet, you can use StreamPilot.

What about my other internet traffic?

Only DNS queries for supported streaming services are routed through StreamPilot. All your other browsing, downloads, gaming, etc. are completely unaffected.
